On May 12, a sports and power extreme holiday "Batyr of Bashkortostan" took place in Ufa for the first time.

The organizer and host of the competition was Elbrus Nigmatullin, the master of sports in powerlifting and arm wrestling, the vice-champion of the competition "The strongest man of the planet" in 2005, the four-time winner of the tournament "The strongest man of Russia".

Irek Yalalov, the Head of Ufa City Municipal District Administration, noted that the organizers found a very good name for the Ufa holiday of extreme power, and managed to bring peculiarities of Bashkortostan people and culture.

Athletes of the competition were the 13 strongest athletes of Russia. All participants competed in the absolute weight category.
