On August 25, Ufa will host the festival “Milky land-2018”

The VIII annual festival "Milky land" – the biggest Russia milk festival under the motto" Drink milk-be positive " will be held in Ufa on Salavat Yulaev square on August 25, 2018.

Organizers of the Festival - the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Ufa City Municipal District Administration of Bashkortostan Republic, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the National union of producers of milk. The festival is supported by the State committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan for entrepreneurship and tourism, the tourism development Center of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the State committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan for trade and consumer protection.

The Wimm-Bill-Dann company, one of the largest Russian companies, large producer of dairy products will act as traditionally dairy sponsor of a festival. To each guest who has arrived to a festival – a glass of tasty fresh milk as a gift.

Ufa residents and guests of the city were fallen in love long ago with festival of milk, because it promotes family values, healthy and active lifestyle. "Dairy fair", "Farmer's market" and "Cheese shop" are traditionally popular among visitors.

Feature of the festival in 2018 is an extensive business program, which includes a seminar "Cheese academy", competition "The best cheese of Bashkortostan", business breakfast: "Fair price for milk: the formula for success", "Bank hour" and round tables.

Traditionally, for citizens and guests will be organized an extensive entertainment and cultural program and a variety of interactive platforms, for example, children will be able to become heroes of the popular cartoon and visit the dairy theater, sing famous songs, take pictures with your favorite characters.

On a live farm children will be able to see alive calves and goats, for the first time ostriches, a maral and a deer will be presented at a festival.

For the youngest guests of the festival the Agu-show from the company Wimm-bill-Dann will be organized, where at every step the kid will see miracles and new discoveries.

Elder children will be able to visit the kindergarten "Growing up together", organized with the support of "Rosselkhozbank". The younger generation and their parents will be invited to take part in an exciting milk/dairy quest, robotics, to participate in the battle of sumo robots and other competitions, as well as to observe the physical and chemical experiments from the innovative partner of the festival-the company "DeLaval".

In addition, guests of the festival will be able to be inspired by gastronomy master classes from the leading chefs of Ufa, taste and buy delicious cheeses from cheese makers of Bashkortostan. Fans of a healthy lifestyle will be able to take part in dance and sports flash mobs and see the presentation of the International summer children's games, which will be held in the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan Ufa in 2019.  

The federal project "Gastronomic Russia Map", started in 2017 by Federal Tourism Agency, will be submitted on the platform of a festival.

Within the framework of the project, the Republic has a wonderful opportunity to show the best in the field of gastronomy, to tell about unique food products and to prepare interesting dishes in the best national traditions. Brand "Terra Bashkiria" shows the ethno-cultural wealth of our region.

Within the Festival the All-Russian dancing race "Dancing on TNT. New season" will receive start.

For the first time in the history of the show "Dancing on TNT", the race will be held among the cities of Russia.

And, at the end of the Festival, guests and residents will enjoy a concert with the participation of popular youth cover bands of the capital.

Last Year, the festival "Milky land" gathered about 52 thousand people, 10 tons of milk were drunk. More than 45 tons of whole milk products, about 5 tons of butter, more than 2.8 tons of hard cheese, about 1 ton of soft cheese and cheese products, 2.5 tons of ice cream, 15 thousand cans of condensed milk, more than 4.5 tons of koumiss and 1 ton of goat milk were sold and tasted in the Dairy fair zone.
