On September 2, the capital of Bashkortostan held fourth International Marathon. This year more than 3.6 thousand of athletes, runners and healthy lifestyle supporters representing 16 countries and more than 200 cities participated in the Marathon.

The program of the marathon provided several distances: 42.2 kilometers, 21.1 kilometers, 10 and 3 kilometers, 4×10 kilometer relay race and the race for athletes with disabilities.

The route of the distances was laid in the area of interesting and significant historical places and sights of the city. Such as: the monument to Salavat Yulaev, Congress Hall, the fountain "Seven Girls", the ice palace "Ufa-Arena" and the monument to Mustai Karim. Running starts took place near the stadium "Dynamo", the finishing gate was installed on the open stadium area.

The Ufa International Marathon is being organized in the capital of Bashkortostan since 2015. This sports event is at top ten of the largest marathons of Russia and is included in international calendars of races around the world. The marathon has international certification, rating of the National Running Movement, created by the All-Russian Athletics Federation.

The marathon helps to involve the citizens in sports, develope of physical culture and amateur sports in Bashkortostan, as well as attract tourists from other regions of our country, near and far abroad. It can be attended by athletes of all ages.

The results of the marathon will be announced at the finishers' party, which will take place today on the square of two fountains (Kirova Street, 27 at 20.00 clock.)
