International Children's Games 2019 in Ufa are presented within the «Russia – Country of Sports» Forum

On October 10-12, 2018 7 the «Russia – Country of Sports» Forum is held in the Ulyanovsk Region. More than 3 thousand guests took part in it – Heads of federal and regional authorities, famous athletes, representatives of international sports organizations.

The delegation from Bashkortostan participated in the Forum. The member of the State Assembly of the Republic of Bashkortostan – Andrey Ivanyuta said a few words about the project “Healthy generation – strong region” within the framework of the event.

One of the issues of the Forum was the 53-year International Children's Games which the capital of Bashkiria will host in 2019.

In 2013, Ufa had already hosted Winter International Children's Games. As a result, the facilities and resources of sports base has been improved, a new winter sport-school building has been constructed and provided with sport equipment – all this made possible for our athletes to prepare for the competition on a high level, hold sport competitions for students of Russia and national championships.

On July, 2019 Ufa will host International Children's Games again and become the only city for the last 50 years, which holds Summer games as well as Winter ones. More than 1500 athletes from all over the world (Russia, Western Europe, USA, Canada, China, South Korea, Japan, etc.) are expected to take part in the Games.

In 2019 athletes will compete in nine sports: athletics, swimming, fencing, Greco-Roman wrestling, judo, rock-climbing,  football, basketball, and beach volleyball.
