Ufa celebrates national poet Mustai Karim’s 99th birthday

On October 20, 2018 the 99th birthday of the national poet of Bashkortostan, prose-writer, dramatist Mustai Karim is celebrated. Ufa holds series of events dedicated to this date.

On October, 18 the research and practice conference “Literary readings of Mustai Karim’s works” took place in Bashkir Gymnasium №158. 74 students, teachers of all educational institutions-winners of the first stage of the event will take part in the conference.

This event runs annually and tends to form in-depth interest and popularize national poet’s personality and works among students, teachers. It will help to introduce exploratory and creative activity, cultural heritage of Bashkortostan’s people to students.

On poet’s birthday on October, 20 theatrical show and famous poems on different languages will be performed in Mustai Karim Square at 13:00.

On the same day, at 15:00 Mustai Karim Foundation prizes distribution will take place in the workshop by Mustai Karim in Bashkir State University.

At 18:00 the company of Mazhit Gafuri Academic Drama Theater will perform on the stage with play written by Mustai Karim and at the same time Russian State Academic Drama Theatre of the Republic of Bashkortostan will perform another play “Moon and leaf fall”.
