Ufa prepares to hold International Children's Games-2019

On October 24, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan held a meeting on issues of the preparation for International Children's Games which will take place in Ufa on July 9-14, 2019.

ICG is a high-profile sports event in Russia in 2019. Over 1500 athletes from 35 countries will participate in the Games. Athletes will compete in nine kinds of sport: athletics, swimming, fencing, Greco-Roman wrestling, judo, rock-climbing, football, basketball, and beach volleyball.

In order to prepare for the event the ICG-2019 Office was founded. The following issues was covered at the meeting: visa assistance, financing, accreditation, accommodation, safety and security arrangements, competition schedule, medical supply, official ceremonies.

Today, some sport venues which will be used during ICG are renovated.

No major event would be complete without involving volunteers. In the nearest months, it is planned to form a pool of volunteers who will help in creating a comfortable and festive atmosphere of a sporting event. A group on hiring volunteers has been created on the social network "Vkontakte".

Alongside the Games a cultural program is being prepared for guests of Ufa to show them the Republic and its folklore features.

Ufa is a constant member of ICG since 2011. In 2013, the capital of the Republic has already hosted these large-scale sporting events and participants considered them as one of the best ICG ever held.
