On December 22, 2018 “Uralkaly” company’s mine burst into flames in Solikamsk. Total, 17 people worked in the mine. Eight of them came to the surface and nine workers stayed underground.

On December 22, 2018 “Uralkaly” company’s mine burst into flames in Solikamsk. Total, 17 people worked in the mine. Eight of them came to the surface and nine workers stayed underground.

Fire sprang into a blaze during the work on the reinforcement of the return air horizon in the shaft number 4 when workers were 360 meters underground. 3 residents of Bashkortostan were among the dead.

Tomshin Sergey Pavlovich born in 1961 and Abramov Anton Sergeevich born in 1980 were from Ufa.

Authorities of the Republic and Ufa Administration are do everything they can to help families of workers from Bashkiria.

According to the order of the Acting Head of the Republic, each of the families of workers from Bashkiria who died in the mine will receive 1 million rubles.

Ufa city Administration also tries to help these families. Today, the visit to Solikamsk city is planned, authorities and duty doctors will support relatives of families. Moreover, City Administration will assist families in organization of funerals.

The Head of Ufa Administration Ulfat Mustafin offered condolences to family members of the victims.

“On behalf of Ufa citizens and on my own, we express condolences to near and dear ones who died in fire in mine “Uralkaly”. For our part and for part of Ufa Administration we will support the relatives. At these difficult times I wish endurance and strength to family, relatives, friends and co-workers of the those involved in this incident” said the Head of the Administration.
