Almost 10 thousand people took part in Epiphany bathing in Ufa

The capital of Bashkortostan prepared 4 Epiphany baths. On the eve of the Feast of Epiphany, baths were opened since early hours of January, 19 until 24:00. 9797 people took a dip in Epiphany baths during this time.

Ufa celebrated the Feast of Epiphany, one of the main event among Orthodox fests which  is also associated with Epiphany bathing.

The capital of Bashkortostan prepared 4 Epiphany baths. On the eve of the Feast of Epiphany, baths were opened since early hours of January, 19 until 24:00. 9797 people took a dip in Epiphany baths during this time.

Emergency doctors, life savers, policemen and workers of social security center were on duty on these Epiphany baths. Moreover, heated tents, bio toilets, food courts with hot tea were installed there, too. Baths were equipped with hand holds and ladders to provide people with safe dips. There were no incidents to report.
