Ufa held a meeting of 53d Summer Children Games organizing committee

On July 9 -14, 2019 Ufa will hold main annual world sport event – International Children Games. More than 1,5 thousand athletes from all over the world will arrive to our capital to compete in the Games.

Today, applications are sent by Thailand, South Korea, India, Australia, Israel, Turkey, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Greece, Slovakia, Switzerland, Sweden, Austria, Croatia, Germany, Great Britain, Mexico, Costa Rica, Canada, USA, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and other countries.

On January 29, municipality held scheduled meeting of city organizing committee led by the Head of Ufa Administration Ulfat Mustafin. During the meeting, chief of Game’s Administration-2019 Sergey Stepanov told about aspects of pre-work. Also, issues on bid campaign, venues preparation and welcome reception, transport and medical supplies, volunteers’ search, media support were discussed.

At the moment, call for bids are not accepted anymore. Preparation for on-line registration is being led now. Also, sports equipment is being bought now and then handed to sports schools of the city.

With help of Ufa Volunteers Association the necessary pool of volunteers was gathered. In the nearest months they will be selected and taught properly. More than 600 people applied to take part in the event as volunteers.

«2019 is the year of important events for republic and the city: 100 anniversary of Bashkortostan, Mustai Karim’s jubilee and International Children Games. Ufa has huge experience in international event holding. It’s necessary to solve all issues together» said Ulfat Mustafin. «There is only half of the year left till International Children Games start» added the Head of Administration.
