Laying flowers ceremony to the Eternal Light took place in the Victory Park

Today the whole country celebrates one of the main holidays of military glory – The Day of the Defender of Fatherland. On this day, we honor those who serve in the military service, ensure the sovereignty and security of our land, who peacefully strengthen the power and authority of the country, achieve the wealth and stability of citizens. We proudly remember those who shed blood and died on the battlefield.

The capital of the Republic hosts various events dedicated to this significant date. One of the main events was held in Ufa Victory Park – a laying flowers ceremony to the Eternal Light.

Acting Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, Chief Federal inspector of the Republic of Bashkortostan Mikhail Zakomaldin, Chairman of the State Assembly – Kurultai of the Republic of Bashkortostan Konstantin Tolkachev, Head of Ufa city district Valery Trofimov, Head of Ufa Administration Ulfat Mustafin, deputies, heads of republican and municipal authorities, veterans of the Great Patriotic war, Armed forces and local wars, cadets, representatives of military-patriotic clubs, as well as citizens for whom the memory of the Great Patriotic war of 1941-1945 is sacred attended the event.

Radiy Khabirov laid a wreath to the Eternal light, symbolizing the tribute to the memory of those who died in the Great Patriotic war from the multinational people of the Republic. Then the anthems of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Bashkortostan were played. A minute of silence was declared in memory of dead heroes. Then flowers to Alexander Matrosov and Minnigali Gubaidullin monuments were laid by Mikhail Zakomaldin, Konstantin Tolkachev, Valery Trofimov, Ulfat Mustafin, deputies, heads of ministries and departments, veterans, representatives of youth and public organizations.
