Ufa public chamber was founded

Public chamber was formed in Ufa municipality. The first meeting was held on February, 26.

«Today, the development of civic institution is one of the top issues for our city. Public chamber should include representatives of various public organizations and urban communities that will broadcast the interests of different categories of Ufa citizens» said Deputy Head of Ufa Administration Rustem Gazizov.

City public chamber consists of 30 people. Ulfat Mustafin suggested 7 of them, 7 more are defined by the Presidium of Ufa Council and the same quantity are proposed by the heads of city districts Administrations. The final stage today was a rating vote to determine another 9 chamber members among the citizens who applied for the competition to be included in city public chamber.

Totally, 53 application forms participated in selection of public chamber members. Applications were provided by representatives of different spheres: bulding, business, Association of disabled people, sports, housing, ecology, culture, youth and volunteering, protection of motherhood and childhood, trade unions, veteran and Patriotic movements.

48 candidates were chosen to participate in the selection.

The first meeting of the chamber is scheduled on March, 5. The Chairman will be determined there.
