 On March 9 -10, Ufa held Russian traditional festival called «Maslenitsa» dedicated to ushering the winter out.

Ufa residents and guests of the capital tasted delicious pancakes with tea and other sweets and participated in various folk events which took place in all areas of the city – in squares, parks, at racetrack, near shopping malls and other places.

All platforms were arranged with theatrical performances with cheerful clowns, performances of creative collectives, competitions, sports competitions, round dances, exhibitions, products sales of national craft masters were organized, playgrounds and creative workshops were there, too.

Among all fest attributes,  the main and traditional was the «Maslenitsa» effigy burning.
