International Children's Games - Richard Smith visits Ufa

On March 14, the Secretary-General of the International Children's Games Committee Richard Smith will visit Ufa.

Within his visit to municipality, he will review sports venues which are involved in ICG and accommodations for visitors and participants.

Also, Richard Smith will meet with Games’ volunteers who undergo planned trainings.

As a Secretary-General, Richard Smith took part in winter children’s games in Ufa in 2013. Totally, he visited the municipality 10 times.

ICG are held since 1968. Since then, Games have been carried out under International Olympic Committee. First Games took place in Celje (Slovenia) and were initiated by trainer on physical culture Metod Klemenc. The goal of the Games is to unite young people from different countries, develop children’s sport and establish communication.

53d summer ICG will take place in Ufa from July 9-14, 2019. More than 1500 athletes from 80 cities all over the world will take part in it.
