«Defender of the Homeland» project in Ufa

Within the frames of the «Defender of the Homeland» project, municipality held an open lesson for Ufa students of military-patriotic clubs of the city.

This project was initiated 2 weeks ago by deputies the City Council Anrey Borisov and Pavel Vasilyev.

«Last time such classes were held in the city seven years ago. The project helps us to continue this tradition. We hope that it will be supported and lessons of initial military training will return to schools across the country» said deputy of the City Council Andrey Borisov.

At the lesson in the shooting club «Arcade», the military-Patriotic club «Trail» performed in front of guys and spoke about the work of search teams.

The second part of the lesson took place in the shooting range, where the guys learned to shoot from an air rifle.

«Today at the lesson we were able to train their skills in shooting, get acquainted with the work of search teams. We were told that since the age of 14 you can go to the excavations and help the members of the expedition. This is very interesting, I have been working in the military-patriotic club «Smena» for more than a year and in the future I want to connect my life with military affairs» says the 9th grade student of the school № 38 Andrey Kostylev.

The lesson was visited by the deputy of the State Duma Ildar Bikbaev and the member of the state Assembly - Kurultay RB Svetlana Turzayanova. They supported the initiative of Ufa deputies and noted that such a project should be broadcast at the national and Federal levels.

«These classes are very important. In each family there are defenders of the homeland who gave their lives on the battlefields, served in the army. Moral and Patriotic education should be part of the educational process. Children need to be taught to love their homeland, be pride for their country, to awaken interest to its history. As a legislator, I am interested in making such classes available to all children of the city and the Republic. This positive practice should be implemented throughout the country» said the deputy of the State Duma Ildar Bikbayev.

Deputies of city Council say that they will continue this work and hope that lessons of Patriotic education will return to schools.
