More than 106 thousand Ufa citizens took part in city litter pick

On April 27, Ufa held city litter pick.

More than 106 thousand Ufa citizens-students, workers, residents of blocks of flats and cottages  took part in the event.

Citizens and workers of the housing and communal sphere cleaned garbage on streets, in the yards, in parks and squares of the city, washed facades and showcases of buildings, repaired and painted children's playgrounds, borders, fences, containers for household wastes, benches, cut trees and bushes, put in order territories of the industrial enterprises, trade, medical, educational institutions and the organizations.

During the environmental campaign, 3 661 cubic meters of garbage were collected and taken to waste landfill.  874 equipment units were attracted to the event including 381which cleaned  roads.

Also, the Republican ecological action «Green Bashkiria» was held within the framework of the clean-up. Thus, in all seven districts of the city there are new thematic alleys of coniferous trees. 2573 trees and 221 bushes are planted.

Ulfat Mustafin joined the environmental action. He noted that this action  united all concerned citizens who were on the streets that day. They showed their respect and love to our city.

Clean- ups were held in a festive atmosphere with the organization of musical accompaniment, hot meals and tea.
