Ufa is a capital of the 53d of International Children’s Games

On July, 9-14 Ufa will host 53d International Children’s Games with Olympic Committee support. Young athletes will compete in 9 kinds of sport: athletics, swimming, fencing, Greco-Roman wrestling, judo, mini football, basketball 3x3, beach volleyball, rock climbing.

The general sponsor of 53d International Children’s Games is public company «Gazprom».

This year 1192 athletes from 84 cities and 29 countries lika Australia, Canada, USA, China, Mexico, Great Britain,  Holland, Slovenia and so on, will take part in the Games. More than 2 thousand guests are expected to arrive from all over the world. This Games are perfect opportunity for children aged 12 to 15 to take part in the world competition, make first steps to world-class sports and meet new friends form different countries.

Ufa has already hosted the International Children’s Winter Games 2013 where almost 800 children from 59 cities and 20 countries took part.

Ufa team participates in the Games since 2011. In 2019 the team «Ufa-Gazprom» will perform on the competition under public company «Gazprom».

One of the central events of the upcoming Games will be a match within the project «Football for Friendship». The international friendship team will include members of the International Children's Games from all over the world.

The international children's social program “Football for Friendship”, initiated by Gazprom, has been implemented since 2013 and unites millions of young athletes and adults around the world. The goal of the program to promote interest in a healthy lifestyle and relevant values, including friendship, equality, justice, health, peace, devotion, victory, traditions and honor through football to young generation. Its participants are young football players, as well as young journalists covering the events of Football for Friendship. Children of different nationalities, different gender and different physical abilities learn to play in the same team and share their views. Over the entire existence of the program, more than 5 500 children took part in it. The geography of the program expanded from 8 countries in 2013 to 211 countries and regions in 2018 and its audience gained 4.5 million people.
