The first Games were held on June 5, 1968. The event was attended by teams from 9 cities of Europe. Today, in the family of International Children's Games - hundreds of cities from all over the world.
«Second World War destroyed my childhood and my family» says Mr. Klemenc. «In those terrible years, I lived a dream: to create a better world based on friendship. It was sport that became a means of uniting young people from different countries. Then, in 1968, I could not even dream of how popular this movement would become».
Metod Klemenc will be an honorary guest of the opening ceremony of the Games, attend competitions and plans to see the cultural sights of Ufa with his family.
