On July 10, Ufa held an opening ceremony of 53rd Summer International Children’s Games.

The festive atmosphere was at the event long before its opening. Within the forming up in columns for the further solemn passage through the arena, young athletes actively took photos with artists in the costumes of the Games' talismans - the bear, bees and martens and also got to know and talked with each other.

The official part of the ceremony began with a march of delegations’ columns of the of athletes representing the country and the city - participants of 53rd International Children's Games. As well as at the opening of the Olympic Games, teams from around the world — Australia, Austria, Canada, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Holland, Ireland, Israel, Kenya, Lithuania, Mexico, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Turkey and, of course, Russia were in Arena.

Torsten Rush President of the International Children's Games, Sergey Kosilov Deputy Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation, Radiy Habirov Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Anastasia Davydova Secretary General of the Russian Olympic Committee, Head of Ufa Administration Ulfat Mustafin welcomed the participants and guests of the Games.

Radiy Khabirov marked that Bashkortostan meets 53rd International Children's Games with an open heart and traditional Bashkir hospitality. The head of the region read out a greeting from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Torsten Rush thanked the Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and the Head of Ufa Administration Ulfat Mustafin for their tremendous work on preparing for the Games.

«Six years ago you had a great winter children's games. I am sure that at the closing of the current Games we will also thank you for a great event» said the President of the International Children's Games.

After the competition was symbolically lit and the flag raised, the Head of Ufa Administration Ulfat Mustafin declared the 53rd International Children's Games opened.

In addition, the crew of the International Space Station addressed the participants of the competition and the spectators of the ceremony directly from the board with a welcoming speech.

Audience was greeted by a video message from the founder of the International Children's Games Klemenc Metod. Moreover, he personally attended the opening ceremony.

The ceremony ended with the performance of the final song by the finalists and participants of the show project «Voice» and «Voice-Children» by Rushana Valeyeva and Nazgul Otuzova.
