Women fencers from Ufa won gold medals in World Fencing Championship.

On July 15-23, 2019 the World Fencing Championship took place in Budapest.

Students of Ufa Olympic Reserve fencing sportschool, fencers Anastasiya Ivanova and Adelina Zagidullina have won gold medals in team competitions. Inna Deriglazova and Larisa Korobeynikova joined them on the podium. In the final, Russian athletes scored  43:42 win over Italy. USA won the bronze medals in a match for 3rd place with France; the score is 45:43.

Following the results of the Championship Russia took 1st place in medal standings, winning 3 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medals. France took 2nd place, South Korea – 3rd.
