Ufa athletes took part in «Peace cup» opening ceremony in China

«Peace cup» football tournament gala opening ceremony took place in Shenyang. Four thousand athletes from seven countries take part in this competition. 

Ten students of the Olympic reserve school №9 «Football Academy» represent Ufa.

Ceremony began with athletes’ parade, and then representatives of Shenyang city administration greeted the participants. After that, eight athletes took a participants oath. Timofey Zhaurov from Ufa was among them.

The celebration ended with a concert and a match between the teams of Shenyang and Minsk, where tournament hosts scored a win.

During the event, the head of Physical Culture and Sport department of Ufa Administration Sergey Stepanov met with the head of Sport department of Shenyang Zhang Xiaoshong. He thanked the Chinese colleague for a warm welcome and marked the high level of tournament organization.

Zhang Xiaoshong, in turn, said that it is a big honor to host the twin-city team and invited the Ufa representatives to visit Sports department of Shenyang to discuss further cooperation in physical culture and sport.

On the day of the tournament opening children also visited the Liaoning museum of science and technology, which counts 57 thousand exhibits.
