Traffic over the Timashevsky junction in Ufa is open

On August 9, a technical opening of road junction on the cross of Birsky highway with the railway in Ordzhonikidze district in Ufa took place.

Acting Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, acting Deputy Prime-Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan Raif Abdrakhimov, Head of Ufa Administration Ulfat Mustafin, chairman of the State committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan on traffic and roads Timur Mukhametyanov, acting president of «Bashneft» Victor Solovykh took part in the gala opening ceremony.

The building of the junction began in October 2016 and became the most important infrastructure project for the capital of Bashkortostan, especially for the development of its north part – Kalininsky and Ordzhonikidze districts.

«Timashevsky junction is very important. We need to build a lot of other junctions and bridges in Ufa. People suffered and could have waited for hours for traffic to move. Together with the city we work on making the transport infrastructure in Ufa more convenient. I think we can solve that problem» says Radiy Khabirov.

The general contracting organization is ZAO «Uralmoststroy». The length of the new junction is 161 meters, width – 14.5 meters with three lanes of traffic. The total length, including bridge road approaches, is approximately 1 kilometer.  

This object is of big social importance. The junction will provide an unobstructed traffic to Birsky highway and north exit out of the city. One of the most important outcomes of this construction is the absence of traffic jams, therefore improvement of the state of environment.

The final ending of transport junction construction is planned on October next year – after the demolition of the old crossing over railways, haul road dismantling and territory recultivation.
