On August 24, Ufa will join Russia-wide event «Movie night». In cultural institutions and cinemas, palaces and houses of culture, libraries and museums of the city, master classes, game programs, and movie screenings will be held. In addition, city cultural institutions will conduct thematic lectures and excursions, creative meetings, quizzes, exhibitions, online presentations, master classes and other events.

During the «Movie night», Russian and republican films, that were chosen in a statewide internet poll, will be shown.

The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the film studio "Bashkortostan" with the support of the Ufa Administration.

Events will start at 18:00. Free admission. Russian films will be shown in «Rodina» theatre. GKZ «Bashkortostan» will present the film «First republic». In the culture and recreation Park of the Dyoma district an open-air movie screening will be organized.

From 12:00 until 20:00 in the City Palace of Culture an exhibition «World of wonders and surprises» is planned. On the square in front of the Palace a screen will be installed and the movie «First republic» will be shown. Young Ufa citizens will be able to see animated collection of «Bashkortostan» film studio. The screening will start at 21:30.

Ufa city planetarium will show an online presentation «Russian Movie in internet».

Ufa municipal libraries organizes game programs and cartoon screenings, dedicated to the «Movie night» event. Central municipal children’s library named after S. Khudayberdin will show movies with subtitles to the disabled kids and teenagers.
