More than 70 thousand people took part in the citywide subbotnik in Ufa

On September 21 in Ufa, the first autumn citywide environmental cleanup took place, which was organized as part of the month on sanitary cleaning, improvement and greening of the city.

Workers of housing and communal services, enterprises and organizations of the city, students of secondary schools, students, representatives of public organizations, citizens took part in the subbotnik to make our beloved city cleaner. By tradition, employees of the Ufa Administration and the city districts administrations took an active part in the cleanup.

The main goal of autumn cleaning is to prepare the territory of the capital of Bashkortostan for winter, clean it of garbage, fallen leaves, put in order coastal zones, parks, squares, roads, yards, lawns, and landscaping facilities.

In total, more than 70 thousand people took part in the first citywide subbotnik. 887 pieces of equipment were involved. The area of the cleared area of the road network amounted to 8771.7 thousand square meters, intra-quarter and court territories - 3314 thousand square meters, parks and squares - 791 thousand square meters.

In addition, the capital of Bashkortostan joined World Cleanliness Day and held an environmental action #SDELAYEM2019 (#LET’SDOIT2019) on September 21. This is a civilian project whose goal is to unite public institutions, business communities, municipalities, government bodies and the media in one team to clean nature from waste.

During this period, roads, sidewalks, fences, parapets repairs, carriageways, streets, intra-quarter territories cleanings, debris removal on the territories of garage cooperatives, gardening associations will be organized.

The main work on bringing the city territories in order falls on the shoulders of the workers of the housing and communal complex, however, every resident can contribute to the improvement of the city. Sanitary Fridays and Subbotniks help instill in the younger generation a respect for their hometown.

We invite all concerned citizens to take part in the autumn land improvement, sanitary cleaning of streets and courtyards. The next citywide cleanup is scheduled for October 5. Together we will make our favorite city cleaner!
