Please accept my warmest and most sincere congratulations on International Day of Older Persons! This holiday symbolizes the continuity of generations and is a tribute to the people of the older generation.

On this day, with words of special gratitude, we turn to war and labor veterans, to those who valiantly defended our Motherland during the war years, built and developed our wonderful city in peacetime.

Your life and professional experience, wisdom and good advice are invaluable. The duty of each of us is to do everything so that people of advanced age do not feel lonely, they are always surrounded by attention and warmth.

The municipality actively interacts with the Ufa city public organization of veterans (pensioners) of war, labor, the Armed forces and law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Bashkortostan. In Ufa, various events in the areas of active longevity and talent competitions among citizens of the "golden" age have become a good tradition, which make it possible to increase social and creative involvement.

For the past ten years, the National University of the Third Age has been successfully operating, where all interested pensioners can take training courses, including computer literacy, find a new hobby and like-minded people.
