More than 62 thousand people took part in the second citywide subbotnik in Ufa

On October 5, in Ufa, the second autumn citywide subbotnik took place, which was organized as part of the month on sanitary cleaning, improvement and greening of the city territory.

To make our city cleaner by common efforts, workers of the housing and communal services of the city, organizations, as well as active citizens, students and pupils, working youth, came out. By tradition, employees of the Administration of Ufa and administrations of the city districts, employees of municipal enterprises took an active part.

Subbotnik participants cleared the territory of the city from garbage, fallen leaves, tidied up coastal zones, parks, squares, yards, lawns, and objects of external improvement.

In total, over 62 thousand people took part in the second citywide subbotnik. 789 pieces of equipment were involved. The area of the cleared territory of the road network amounted to 7,761.3 thousand square meters, intra-quarter and court territories - 2040.9 thousand square meters, parks and squares - 627.5 thousand square meters. Currently, housing and communal services continue to collect garbage.

In addition, Ufa joined and held today the environmental campaign "Green Bashkiria" with the goal of landscaping public spaces, courtyards, territories of educational institutions, enterprises and organizations. Thus, 2,618 trees were planted on the planned alleys, including 1,654 large trees.

It should be noted that the month of sanitary cleaning, improvement and landscaping started on September 10 and will last until October 14. It also includes weekly  “sanitary Fridays”.
