In Ufa, the construction of a new modern building for the Adigam Iskuzhin children's music school No. 9 continues. This is the only institution in the field of additional musical education of children in the Zaton microdistrict and it has been teaching young Ufa residents the basics of performing skills and musical art since 1966.
Previously, the Children's Music School was located in a shabby log building built in 1926 along Pozharsky Street. This factor did not allow the conduct of educational activities in this room. In 2016, the educational institution was transferred to the building on 300/3 Akhmetova Street, which complies with the norms and requirements of the Sanitary Rules and Norms and the Ministry of Emergencies, to organize the educational process.
Due to the intensive development and increase in the population of the microdistrict, the placement of a music school in a building on Akhmetov Street did not solve all the issues related to the organization of services for additional musical education of children in Zaton. Therefore, it was decided to build a new modern building of the Children's Music School No. 9 named after Adigam Iskuzhin at the intersection of Chkalov and Soyuznaya Streets.
The construction of the facility began in 2018 as part of the project “One Hundred Facilities for the 100th Anniversary of the Republic of Bashkortostan”. The new school building will be three-story, with a total area of more than 1,500 meters. It is planned to equip 17 classrooms for individual and group classes and a modern concert hall.
Children's music school number 9 named after Adigam Iskuzhin has half a century of tradition in the musical education of children. Now 295 students are studying here in 16 educational programs. 40 teachers work with children. Students and teachers take part in various competitions and show good results. The number of students is growing every year, therefore grows the need for new classrooms.
