The best workers of road and city passenger transport were honored in Ufa

On October 25, a solemn event was held in Ufa Administration dedicated to the Day of the Worker of Road and City Passenger Transport.

On the eve of the professional holiday, industry workers were congratulated by Rinat Bashirov, First Deputy Head of the Administration of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Ulfat Mustafin, Head of Ufa Administration, Azat Kalimullin, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan for Transport and Road Facilities, and Denis Gordeev, Director of the Ufagortrans Municipal Unitary Enterprise.

Ulfat Mustafin in his congratulation noted that the sustainable and stable operation of public transport is an integral part of the modern comfortable urban environment and, therefore, the municipality pays great attention to the development of public transport services and the improvement of road infrastructure.

«Since the fall of last year, thanks to the support of the republic and personally Radii Khabirov, we managed to achieve significant changes in the system of bus passenger transportation. The fleet is being updated - new large and medium-sized buses have already appeared on the streets of Ufa,” he said.

The Head of Ufa Administration stressed that urban electric vehicles occupy a special place in the transport complex.

«Trams and trolley buses are environmentally friendly types of transport, which is important for us as a large industrial city. They also carry a social burden, being accessible and in demand among senior citizens, schoolchildren and students. In the near future, we will have to seriously work on the development and updating of electric vehicles. The implementation of the City Electric Train transport project is ongoing, which is designed to connect all areas of Ufa with one transport artery. The project is undergoing reconstruction and construction of new transportation hubs,» said Ulfat Mustafin.

Ulfat Mustafin expressed his gratitude to the workers of the industry for their daily hard work and handed the distinguished employees diplomas and letters of thanks from the Administration of the city of Ufa.

In addition, employees of republican and city public transport enterprises, the federal service for supervision in the field of transport were awarded the anniversary medals “100 years of the founding of the Republic of Bashkortostan” and the Appreciation of the State Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan on transport and road facilities.
