Ufa hosted a parade dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day

On February 23, under the windows of the apartment of Mugin Nagayev, the oldest veteran of the legendary 112th Bashkortostan ir Cavalry Division, knight of orders of the Red Banner, Lenin, Red Star, Patriotic War of the I degree and Alexander Nevsky, a parade dedicated to the Day of the Defender of the Fatherland, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and soldiers-internation was held.

More than 200 cadets participated in the solemn march on Muksinova Street, near lyceum No. 160. The Head of Bashkortostan Radii Khabirov hosted the parade. Before the formation of cadets, the Head of the region presented Mugin Karimovich with the Order of General Shaimuratov.

«Today, many commemorative events take place throughout the republic. We present the first Orders of General Shaimuratov. There will be a ceremonial meeting where we invited all the defenders of the Fatherland - not only veterans of the Great Patriotic War, but also those who fought in Afghanistan, in Chechnya. For us, for the country this is the most important holiday. We will do everything to remember the veterans, to pay them tribute. And, of course, we recall those who defended our country in peacetime,» said Radii Khabirov.
