20,980 people took part in the Clean-up Day in Ufa

On March 20, the Clean-up Day was held in Ufa. 20,980 people, 848 vehicles took part in the cleaning urban areas from snow and garbage. Employees of the Administration of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, ministries and departments, the Administration of Ufa, district administrations, employees of enterprises and organizations of all forms of ownership carried out the tedding of snow in the squares and parks of our city, along pedestrian zones, in the yards of apartment buildings.

«We went out on a subbotnik in a good mood. Bringing spring closer, helping nature. And we are putting in order our common home - our city,» said one of the participants of the Clean-up Day, an employee of the working group at the Administration of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan on the applications of residents on social networks, Azamat Timergazin.

The main scope of the work on cleaning urban areas is carried out by the municipal and housing services of the city. Today, 848 vehicles were brought in, more than 4,500 cubic meters of garbage were removed. 812 janitors and attracted specialists from among locksmiths, cleaners, and plumbers work in the yards of apartment buildings. In addition, intensive work is being carried out on sanitary cleaning and disinfection of entrances.

Particular attention is paid to cleaning the main highways, secondary streets of Ufa and elements of road infrastructure from dirt and snow. The employees of Municipal Unitary Enterprise «SURSIS» cleared the gratings of storm sewers, washed more than 280 m of channels of storm sewers, carried out sanitary cleaning of 13 above-ground and 7 underground pedestrian crossings, as well as bridges and overpasses of the capital. Employees of MUESP «Ufagorsvet» cleaned more than 1300 lighting poles and washed about 350 traffic lights. In addition, utility workers repair fences, wash road signs, clear street stairwells, public transport stops and other elements of road transport infrastructure.

On a night shift, the utilities of the city will continue to clean the territories from snow and garbage. Work monitoring is carried out around the clock.
