In Ufa the patriotic campaign «St. George Ribbon» starts

On May 8, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., the city patriotic campaign «St. George Ribbon», dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, starts.

The St. George ribbon can be obtained at the retail chains of the «Magnit» and «Pyaterochka» grocery stores, as well as at bus stops in the city from Victory volunteers.

The organizers of the event are the Committee on Youth Affairs of Ufa City Administration of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the MBU Center for Patriotic Education of Youth of Ufa City of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Department of Consumer Market, Tourism and Consumer Protection of the Ufa City Administration of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

It should be noted that for the first time in Russia, the St. George Ribbon campaign took place in the spring of 2005. The next year it received all-Russian status. The objectives of its holding are the formation of a sense of pride and complicity of the Victory over fascism, to preserve and transfer to the new generations the memory of who and at what cost took the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
