The fountain «Dancing Cranes» opened in the Ufa square «Dubki»

On June 30, in the Ordzhonikidzevsky district of Ufa, the Head of Bashkortostan Radii Khabirov and Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Russia Maxim Egorov visited the «Dubki» Square, where they attended the opening ceremony of the city attraction - the «Dancing Cranes» fountain, as well as got acquainted with public territories improvement projects in the settlements of Bashkortostan. The Head of Ufa Administration Ulfat Mustafin also attended the event.

Built in the early 1970s, the fountain was closed for reconstruction in 2008. Work on the modernization of the park territory began in the fall of 2019 at the initiative of the head of the republic. As part of the improvement of the square, new trees and shrubs were planted, granite stone paths were laid, benches and bicycle parks were installed, a children's and sports ground, lighting and video surveillance systems were installed. After the renewal, the fountain became light-musical.

«I remember «Dancing Cranes» from student youth. Years passed, and at some point they were forgotten. We decided to revive this composition and today we give the city both a landscaped square and a wonderful fountain. We will continue to carry out consistent work so that Ufa becomes a park city. » said Radii Khabirov.

«Another wonderful public space has appeared in Ufa, and I am sincerely glad for the residents, guests of the city who will spend time here, » said Maxim Egorov.

In turn, Ulfat Mustafin noted that the fountain «Dancing Cranes» has always been the favorite place of the residents.

«Today we are returning the good traditions of our capital. And for us this is a great landmark event. I am sure that it will become another decoration of Ufa and a place of attraction for residents, » he said.

In Ufa, Radiy Khabirov and Maxim Egorov also inspected the reconstructed embankment of the Belaya River. Its total length is 4.9 km. The workers completed the improvement of the territory, built a highway, equipped sidewalks and bike paths, equipped walks to the water. The construction of an underground pedestrian crossing in the area of the Friendship Monument began, it is planned to put it into operation in the fourth quarter of 2020.

«This is not my first visit to Bashkortostan. I really like how Ufa is being transformed. Last fall, I was on the waterfront. And although the object has not yet been officially opened, it already lives fully, » summed up Maxim Egorov.
