The overhaul of the underground passage under Vorovskogo street completed in Ufa

In Ufa, in order to provide a secure access to the embankment, a major overhaul of the underground passage under Vorovskogo Street was carried out. The project was implemented as part of the reconstruction of the Belaya River embankment.

According to the project manager, head of the «Bashalyansstroy» LLC Alexey Nikitin, repair work began in the spring of 2019.

«The pedestrian crossing was opened in 1978. After working for many years, it was closed due to an emergency. Last year, «Bashalyansstroy» started renovations to connect the embankment with the Salavat Yulaev garden. The length of the object is 142 meters,»  he noted.

During the period of work, engineering communications were taken out, monolithic work was done, waterproofing was made by injection. The monolithic part of the pedestrian crossing is faced with granite, as well as retaining walls in the same style with the entrance groups of the underground pedestrian crossing.

In addition, the underpass is equipped with 13 video cameras, lighting and a lifting platform for people with limited mobility.
