Deputies of the City Council appointed Sergey Grekov as Acting Head of Ufa City Administration

An extraordinary meeting of the City Council is being held in Ufa today. The head of the Administration of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Alexander Sidyakin, who presented the candidacy of Sergei Grekov and asked the people's deputies to support him, takes part in its work.

«Two years ago I introduced Ulfat Mustafin from this rostrum. Nobody thought it would happen. Of course, Ufa cannot be without the mayor. Snow will fall soon, we must prepare for the 450th anniversary of the city. Radiy Faritovich himself wanted to be present, but did not manage to get to this meeting from Sibay. We invite you to consider the candidacy of Sergei Nikolaevich Grekov. He is a native of the Ishimbay region, but his whole life is connected with Ufa,» said Alexander Sidyakin.

During the meeting, the deputies decided to appoint Sergey Grekov as Acting Head of Ufa City Administration.

In turn, Sergei Grekov thanked the leadership of Bashkortostan and the deputy corps of the capital of the republic for the high confidence shown.

«Our capital is one of the largest cities in Russia with its own unique features and capabilities. Over the past two years, Ufa has noticeably changed. Ulfat Mansurovich and his team, with the active support of the leadership of the republic, managed to do a great job. Dozens of kilometers of roads have been repaired, dozens of courtyards have been landscaped, new parks, squares and public spaces have appeared. This is a good experience, which in the near future will be in demand in preparation for the 450th anniversary of our capital. Much has been done, but more remains to be done.

Today our republic, country and the whole world are going through extremely difficult times. Each of us has faced the pandemic and its economic consequences. As never before, the authorities and society are required to consolidate their efforts in order to overcome all the negative consequences.

Openness and constant dialogue between the authorities and the public is not just a requirement, it is the norm of the times. Only by listening to each other will we find ways to make our beloved city better. The task of local governments is to make every inhabitant of our city feel comfortable and love him. I am sure that Ufa City Administration with the support of the Head of the Republic and the Government of Bashkortostan, the deputies' corps of the capital will show maximum efficiency in solving the problems and issues that the citizens put before us.

The most important thing is that every minute we must remember that the life and comfort of the townspeople depend on our work. Let's make our capital of the republic even better together,» Sergey Grekov summed up his speech.

In 2019–2020 - Technical Director of LLC Small Innovative Enterprise NefteKhimProm, UGNTU.

In July-November 2020 - Executive Director of LLC Small Oil Company IshimbayNefteGaz.

He was elected a deputy of the council of the Ishimbay region of the second and third convocations, a deputy of the State Assembly - Kurultay of the fifth convocation.
