New Year's festival «TERRA ZIMA» will be held in Ufa

On December 29, at the next operational meeting in the format of videoconference, the chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan for Tourism Salavat Nafikov spoke about the holding of the New Year festival «TERRA ZIMA».

According to him, the festival program is designed in such a way that each guest of the festival finds an interesting event for himself.

«The festival, which has become a good tradition of the capital, promises to become one of the richest, brightest and most interesting events of the New Year holidays in the republic,» said Salavat Nafikov.

The festival starts on January 1 at 12.00 with the «Race of Promises». The starting place is the Gostiny Dvor shopping and business complex. The race can be run at a comfortable pace or by Nordic walking.

Also on January 1, a competition of carnival costumes will take place. The guests of the event will enjoy games, dances and a real New Year's carnival. The venue is the lower platform of the Toratau Congress Hall (formerly the Vatan Park). Everyone who has come to the holiday in original carnival costumes will attend the competition. The winner will receive the main prize of the competition - iPhone 12.

On January 2, the opening of the Winter Sabantuy will take place for the citizens and guests of the capital in the lower area of the Toratau Congress Hall. Within its framework, exclusive winter activities are planned: horseback riding, fights with sacks, competitions in ski and archery biathlon. In addition, a samovar competition will be held for the first time in the republic. Samovar owners can showcase their samovar, brew fresh hot tea, and get creative with their hospitality presentation. The best samovar maker will receive a prize of 50 thousand rubles.

On the third day of the festival, the All-Russian Parade of Snow Maidens will be held, which will be led by the Russian actress, pop singer Anna Semenovich. The festive procession of the parade will begin its action on the square in front of the Toratau Congress Hall and will follow along Zaki Validi Street. Anyone can participate in the parade. The only condition is the outfit of the Snow Maiden. The event will be accompanied by live music performed by the Father Frost Orchestra. The Snow Maiden who, in the opinion of the jury, gets the most votes, will receive the main prize of 100 thousand rubles.

The fourth, final day of the festival for the townspeople and guests of the city will be remembered for the Parade of horse-drawn sleigh carriages, which will start from the descent at the lower platform of the Toratau Congress Hall (Vatan Park). The venue is the embankment of the Belaya River. As part of the parade, there will be a competition for the brightest, most colorful and original decoration of the team and the design of the crew. Horseback riding, live music, songs with button accordions and a cheerful mood await guests.

Salavat Nafikov, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Bashkortostan, noted that everyone who registered on the festival portal can take part in the festival parades.
