Sergey Grekov became the Head of Ufa City Administration

Deputies of the Ufa City Council elected Sergei Grekov as the Head of Ufa City Administration. This decision was made today at an extraordinary 74th meeting of the City Council, in which the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov took part.

It should be recalled that at a meeting on December 16, 2020 the deputies made the decision on the assignment of a competition for filling the post of Head of Ufa City Administration. 11 people submitted documents.

As a result of the competition, three candidates were presented to the Council for nomination.

Today, at a meeting of the City Council, they presented their programs of social and economic development of Ufa to the deputies. As a result, the candidacy of Sergei Grekov was unanimously supported.

The chairman of the city council Valery Trofimov signed the contract with the new Head of Ufa City Administration.

It should be noted, according to the Charter of the city of Ufa, the term of office of the Head of the Administration is limited to the period of validity of the powers of the current convocation of the Council, but cannot be less than two years.

Radiy Khabirov outlined the top-priority tasks for the development of the metropolis and strengthening its economic potential for the Ufa authorities.

«We have worked and will continue to work with Ufa as one large management team. In our plans, we must not leave the solution of old city problems for later. By 2024, when Ufa will celebrate its anniversary, we must resolve all issues as much as possible. We have remote places where there are still dirt roads, where city parks are in a depressing state. At the same time, major infrastructural tasks will also have to be solved: to build three new bridges across the Belaya and Ufa rivers, to complete the construction of the Eastern exit and the Ufa railway ring, to build important social facilities, to develop new territories - Zabelye and Zaufimye, to build schools, kindergartens and clinics. Set yourself up to work long hours.» noted the Head of the Republic.

The Head of the region also focused the attention of the mayor of Ufa on solving the problem of heating bills that worried residents.

«This is a systemic problem in the industry, and it must be addressed in a comprehensive manner. Become a strong-willed head of the city. Work with people, communicate with residents.» said Radiy Khabirov.
