In Ufa, the legendary 112th Bashkir Cavalry Division was formed, which gave the country 78 Heroes of the Soviet Union, five full holders of the Order of Glory of three degrees. No other combat formation had so many heroes.

Today in the ranks of the defenders of the Motherland are the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. The capital of Bashkortostan annually successfully fulfills the tasks of preparing citizens for military service and organizing conscription, taking leading positions in conscription into the country's Armed Forces. The military-patriotic social movement «Yunarmiya» is gaining more and more popularity among young citizens.

In Ufa, the memory of the acts of bravery of fellow countrymen is sacred, their names are forever preserved in our hearts, imprinted in the names of streets, squares, parks and squares, carved on obelisks and monuments.
