Radiy Khabirov: «Kashkadan» should become one of the best parks in Russia»

On February 28, in Ufa, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, inspected the improvement of the Kashkadan park in the Oktyabrsky district of the city. The Head of Ufa City Administration Sergey Grekov also took part in the event.

For the first time, the lake that gave its name to the park was completely cleaned out, according to representatives of the contractor. To do this, the reservoir was drained, about 40 thousand trucks of silt, mud and household waste were removed, and dredging was carried out. At its deepest point, the lake will reach four meters. The final stage is the construction of a clay castle, which will allow maintaining a constant water level in the lake.

One of the threats to the ecology of the reservoir was runoff from the private sector located near the lake. All this created an unfavorable sanitary situation, led to the contamination of water with various parasites. As part of the improvement, an anti-seepage screen and storm sewer were installed around the lake. It will collect streams of melt and rainwater, including those coming from the private sector, and dump it into the collector on Marshal Zhukov Street.

Professor of the Department of Ecology and Life Safety of the Bashkir State University Ayrat Ishbirdin is confident that the water in the renewed lake will be clean, which will allow to recreate its ecosystem and biological diversity.

«We had different options. But I think we made the right decision. And I'm proud of it. Yes, we have spent a lot of money on cleaning the lake, but at least 50 years it will be clean. We pulled out 400 thousand cubic meters of mud from there. We are making a clay castle, that is, the water will not go away. We make storm sewers around. We are creating an ecologically clean lake where you can swim. And this is exactly what people demand of us. Now there is a very high demand for ecology. » - said Radiy Khabirov

At the construction site, Radiy Khabirov held an operational meeting with representatives of the city administration and the contractor, dedicated to the prospects for further improvement of the territory of the Kashkadan park.

The Head of the region emphasized that the park should meet the interests of residents. There is already a strong sports block here. In the future, it is necessary to update the playground, provide for separate bicycle and pedestrian paths, equip a comfortable beach, recreation areas, think over activities for different seasons. In particular, in the summer, a yacht club with boat and catamaran rental can operate on the lake, and an ice rink in winter.

According to Radiy Khabirov, the park should have at least two restaurants, one of which is in the pier area. It is also planned to equip an orchestra stage there. A model of a sailing ship with an observation deck will be placed in the center of the lake.

«Kashkadan» Park should become the best park located on a reservoir in Russia. Because practically there is not such a unique natural object as this lake in any city. If we do not set ourselves such ambitious goals, then we will be in the top ten. And I want to be among the first. By the way, for the last three years we have maintained our leading positions in the All-Russian competition for the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment in small towns and historical settlements. Thanks to grants received within the framework of the competition, 16 municipalities of the republic are putting in order their central squares. Radiy Khabirov instructed the Head of Ufa City Administration, Sergei Grekov, that by the Republic Day, on October 11, 2021, the renovated Kashkadan park should be ready to receive visitors.
