A festive concert in honor of the closing of the VI World Folkloriada CIOFF® was held in Ufa

On July 10, a festive concert dedicated to the end of the VI World Folkloriada CIOFF® took place in the amphitheater of the Congress Hall. It should be noted that the festival of folk cultures was held in Bashkortostan from 3 to 10 July.

The concert hosted performances by local bands: GAANT named after Gaskarov and the ethno-rock group «Argymak». Also, the participants of the folkloriada presented their bright, original, memorable performances. Collectives from Bolivia, Costa Rica, Colombia, Croatia, Estonia, Cameroon, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Montenegro, Panama, France, Paraguay, Mexico, Romania, Russia, Ecuador and Chile, Switzerland, Uzbekistan performed on the stage.

Camilla from the Costa Rican group «Matambu» admitted that in her opinion, the folkloriada was a success.

«It was an amazing holiday! So many different peoples have gathered here in Ufa, I am very happy to be among them!» - she said.

Sarai and Christopher from the Mexican collective Vallarta Azteca noted that their expectations from the holiday were confirmed:

«We were able to get closely acquainted with the rich variety of peoples gathered for the holiday. Plus, we hoped to showcase our culture to the participants and put on a great show. Obviously we succeeded in all of this, » - they said.

At the end of the performances, the participants of the folkloriadф tied bandages with their good wishes on the branches of the symbolic World Tree.

The headliners of the evening were the Pyatnitskiy State Academic Russian Folk Choir, The No Smoking Orchestra and Emir Kusturica.

The closing ceremony ended with a laser show and colorful fireworks.
