RUSSIAN NATIONAL GRECO-ROMAN WRESTLING TEAM WON FIRST PLACE AT JUNIOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

On August 22, the final bouts and the closing ceremony of the Junior World Championship in wrestling took place.

On the day of the Russian State Flag, the tricolor was raised twice in honor of the victories of Russian athletes: Dinislam Bammatov became the strongest in the weight category up to 60 kg, Evgeny Baidusov - in the weight category up to 72 kg. Alexey Meleshin won a silver medal.

In addition, a thirty-meter Russian flag was unfurled in the stands.

Yesterday athletes from Bashkortostan climbed to the top step of the podium twice. In the final, Adlan Amriev won a landslide victory over the Dutch wrestler Tyron Sterkenburg with a score of 5:1. Said-Khusein Bakaev left no chances for Diego Chkhikvadze from Georgia in the decisive battle, the final score was 10:0.

Earlier, sisters Adelina and Karina Murzabaevs from Bashkortostan won two gold medals at the junior world championship - in grappling and grappling. Another student of Bashkir sports, Valeria Davydova, became a bronze medalist in grappling.

During the closing ceremony of the junior world championship, the best teams in the overall medal standings in Greco-Roman wrestling were awarded. The Russian team took first place with five gold, one silver and two bronze awards, the second was the Iranian team, and the third was the Azerbaijanis.
