UFA HOSTS FINAL OF IX NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP WORLDSKILLS RUSSIA 2021

On August 25, the final of the IX National Championship «Young Professionals» (WorldSkills Russia) 2021 started in Ufa. The participants and guests gathered at the opening ceremony in «Toratau» amphitheater Congress Hall.

Due to the restrictions associated with the spread of the coronavirus, the participants settled in a separate area. Spectators were able to freely sit on the slopes of the amphitheater.

As part of the ceremony, a parade of participants and the raising of the championship flag took place. The competitors were greeted by Radiy Khabirov, the head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, and the general director of the Agency for the Development of Professional Skills (WorldSkills Russia), Robert Urazov.

- The championship plays a huge role - it increases the prestige of working specialties, professional education and, of course, the opportunity for realization for the most talented and ambitious children. It is a great honor for us that real masters came to us from all over the country. And I sincerely wish you victories in these days, - admonished Radiy Khabirov. - I also hope that after the end of the competition you will take with you the warmest memories of Bashkortostan and a piece of the warmth of our hearts. Good luck to you!

- We all came together to hold this championship and, finally, we are holding it in person. This is an opportunity not only to compete, but also to communicate and create common projects. All of you are already champions, - noted Robert Urazov. - I would like to wish you, in addition to victories, to create friendly ties with the guys with whom you compete and with experts. And look around - what a wonderful city Ufa and what a warm atmosphere. This is not just good weather, but the kind smiles of the residents of Bashkortostan. I recommend everyone not only to visit the business program, but also to evaluate what an interesting city Ufa and the republic are. Ufa residents, especially schoolchildren, all children who want to choose a profession for themselves, must visit the open areas of the championship.

The festive program continued with musical and choreographic performances and a spectacular performance with the participation of thousands of drones with LED lighting. The guests were especially pleased with the visualizations with the flags of Russia and Bashkortostan, as well as with the figure of the monument to the national hero of the republic Salavat Yulaev.

Yegor Creed became the headliner, and the first day of the championship ended with a festive fireworks display.

Recall that about 1,800 contestants and about 2,000 experts arrived in the capital of Bashkortostan to participate in the WorldSkills Russia 2021 National Final. 76 regions of Russia represent their teams, including our republic. Competitors and experts from the countries of the Asia-Pacific region and the Commonwealth of Independent States will take part in the championship remotely.
