ABOUT 59 THOUSAND PEOPLE TOOK PART IN UFA CLEANUP DAY

On September 11, Ufa hosted a citywide Cleanup Day as part of the autumn month for sanitary cleaning and landscaping and the All-Russian ecological action «Green Russia». About 59 thousand people took part in it, and 736 pieces of equipment were involved.

Participants scavenged streets, courtyards, parks, squares and woodlands of the city. City Utilities Services carried out washing of bus stop stations, roads, roads barriers, and collecting garbage. Employees of industrial and commercial enterprises cleaned and washed the entrances, lobbies and shop windows.

During the «Big Cleaning» more than 3 thousand cubic meters of garbage were removed from the city, the area of ​​the cleared territories was more than 11 thousand square meters.

The next CLEANUP DAY will be held on September 25 as part of the «Green Bashkiria» campaign. Large trees and shrubs will be planted in the city.
