MORE THAN 4 THOUSAND PEOPLE PARTICIPATED IN UFA INTERNATIONAL MARATHON

On September 12, the Ufa International Marathon took place for the seventh time. More than four thousand people took part in five distances: 2 km, 5 km, 10 km, 21.1 km and 42.2 km. Athletes from 18 countries, 34 regions of Russia, 229 cities took part in the race. They ran along the central streets of the city. The competition program was opened by speed skaters: they covered 10 km on high-speed rollers.

The winner in the marathon distance among men was Alexei Patrakov from the Perm Territory, among women - Antonina Yushina from Zlatoust. The fastest at a distance of 21.1 km were Veniamin Kanybekov and Ulyana Sharikova, both athletes from Ufa.

An entertainment program is organized for the participants and guests of the event. The special guests were the stars of the "The Voice" show Nodar Revia and Elina Chaga, as well as the People's Artist of Russia Dmitry Kharatyan.

The event is supported by Ufa City Municipal District Administration and the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
