UFA PREPARES TO CELEBRATE THE NEW YEAR 2022

Work preparations for the New Year 2022 celebrations have started in Ufa, the Russian Federation. Rustem Khamitov, Head of Ufa's Department for Public Utilities and Urban Development, spoke about it in more detail.

Given the adverse epidemiological situation, the number of venues will be increased compared to the previous year in order to prevent mass crowds. So, in 2019 there were 85 venues, in 2020 – 247 and this year 321 venues will be prepared.

Christmas trees will beautify Lenin Square and Salavat Yulayev Square. New Year symbols and ice towns also will be installed on twenty district squares.

Housing funds are planning to equip 120 courtyard areas with New Year's decorations and to fill 88 hockey rinks. There will be 21 skating rinks in the city. There will be also Christmas trees and decorations on the areas of 70 shopping centres, industrial and other enterprises.
