Ratmir Mavliev awarded the winners of the city volleyball tournament in memory of Ulfat Mustafin

On April 20, the final matches of the city volleyball tournament in memory of Ulfat Mustafin took place at the Rima Batalova Sports Training Center.

8 school teams fought for medals (4 teams of boys and girls each), which became winners of the regional stages of the competition and successfully overcame the city semi-finals. The teams included students of grades 9-11 of educational institutions of Ufa.

According to the results of the competition, the team of Lyceum No. 5 of the Kirov region won the first place among girls. They took a confident victory, beating the team of Lyceum No. 96 of the Sovetsky District, which won silver medals. school No. 24 of the Leninsky district took the third place.

In the finals among young men, the title of champions was awarded to gymnasium No. 47 of the Oktyabrsky district. In second place is gymnasium No. 16 of the Kirov region. Bronze medals went to school No. 104.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan Irek Sagitov, the Head of Ufa City Administration Ratmir Mavliev, the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Bashkortostan Ruslan Khabibov, the son of Ulfat Mustafin Marcel and other honored guests congratulated the winners on the successful performance.

We must continue the projects that he started, including the «Volleyball in every yard» program and the annual tournaments in his memory. We will do our best for this,» - Ratmir Mavliev addressed the participants.

The untimely deceased in 2020, the Head of Ufa City Administration, Ulfat Mustafin, paid special attention to the development of volleyball, the popularization of this sport among the younger generation. One of his initiatives was the project «Volleyball in every yard» to equip volleyball courts for sports within walking distance. As part of its implementation, since 2019, 197 new sites have been created in Ufa and 130 existing ones have been improved.

The tournament in memory of Ulfat Mustafin was first held in 2021 and has become traditional.
