On October 6, 2018 State Autonomous Institution “Sports training center of the Republic of Bashkortostan” held XXV republic festival on national sports organized by Ministry of Youth Policy and Sport of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Ufa national team was the strongest and best according to the results of the competition.

Teams from 35 areas of the Republic competed in folk wrestling Kurash, arm wrestling and weight-lifting. The festival was attended by more than 350 participants.

The strongest sportsmen from city’s sports schools represented Ufa team.

“I have practiced Kurash since my childhood”, said Ufa sportsman Alexander Nikolayev. “I was into weight-lifting at school time and now, at university, also try to find time for trainings. Ufa team always performs at a high level and we hope it will become a tradition.”

Ufa national team was the strongest according to the results of the competition. Teams from Sterlitamak and Oktyabrskiy also hit the podium. The winners were awarded with cups and certificates.
