Ufa sportsman takes part in the 3rd Summer Youth Olympic Games

On October 6-18, 2018 Buenos Aires hosts the 3rd Summer Youth Olympic Games. Argentina brings together 4 thousand athletes aged 15-18 from 206 countries to compete in 241 events in 32 sports.

Ufa archer from the School of Olympic Reserve №11 Stanislav Cheremiskin is among the young athletes. Archery starts on October 12.

There are also 2 more sportsmen from Bashkortostan: swimmer Polina Yegorova, and cyclist from the School of Olympic Reserve Aygul Gareeva.

On October 7, first swimming competition was held. Russian team, including Polina Yegorova, won gold medal in mixed 4x100m freestyle relay. Brazil swimmers took the 2nd place and Chinese team - the 3rd place.

Our athletes have already participated in international competitions and won World and Europe championships.
