Ufa held competition among disabled people

Sports training center of RB held physical training activities among disabled people. Athletes from Ufa districts and Republic organizations, children from special schools took part in the event. State Duma Deputy Ildar Bikbaev, Head of city department on physical trainings and sports Sergey Stepanov, the Chairman of Ufa city organization for disabled people “MIR” Vladimir Gorbunov took part in the opening ceremony.

Athletes competed in 8 kinds of sports: kettlebell lifting (men 16kg, women 8kg), barbell (bench press), ping-pong, sitting volleyball, arm-wrestling, darts, checks, chess. Competing in the contest for children under 11 is out of set.

“I was named in 4 kinds from the team of the Sovetsky district: kettlebell lifting, arm-wrestling, ping-pong and darts” says the participant Nadezhda Shekaturova. “In many respects the results depends on luckiness, but, of course, without regular exercises it’s impossible to win. I lifted weights for a long time, attended climbing center. Also, I sing in chorus “Sudarushka”, but really vivid impressions I got when competed in a beauty contest. It’s great that there are people who organize such events, they unite and motivate to become better.”

The age of the competitors wasn’t limited.  The results of the youngest athletes were registered out of set. Children were given presents and medals. Among adults, the winning team was given a cup and individuals – medals and diplomas.
