Ufa streetcar line and trolleybus celebrate memorable date of their motion start

Municipal enterprise «Department of Ufa electric transport» congratulated citizens with the 82d anniversary since the opening of the streetcar line and 57th anniversary of trolleybus traffic start in Ufa.

Regular streetcar line traffic was opened in Ufa on February 1, 1937. The fleet of vehicles consisted of 5 motor and 3 trailing stocks. The length of streetcar lines was 6 km. This type of vehicles was very important that time – it was the only option to get to work place for thousands of workers.

Trolleybus traffic was founded on January 27, 1962 when Bashkortostan’s residents had seen wonderful vehicles for the firs time.

Ufa electric transport holds a valuable place in the sphere of passenger traffic. It should be marked that since November, 2017 the tickets could be paid with PayPass or РayWay.
