New bridge across Belaya river is set in Ufa

On July 8, Acting Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov and the Head of Ufa Administration Ulfat Mustafin, took part in laying the first stone in the construction of a new road bridge across the Belaya River on Vorovskogo Street.

According to the project, a metal insert of the new bridge will be placed on seven pillars with three lanes for vehicles. The works will be synchronized with the expansion of Salavat Yulaev Avenue and the reconstruction of the old bridge, as well as the interchange on Pugachev Street. This object is being built in the framework of the national project «Safe and quality roads».

At the first stage of construction, which will last 31 months, traffic on existing bridges and approaches will be kept without significant restrictions. The cost of the work is about 3.5 billion rubles.

Then, switching of traffic to the newly constructed bridge is envisaged. The old bridge will be closed for reconstruction to strengthen the pillars and replace the span structures.

«We recently repaired the Ufa - Airport highway. Everyone knows what a nightmare there was with traffic jams» said Radiy Khabirov. «We set the task not to narrow traffic flows, so we stopped building an insert between two bridges across Belaya. At the negotiations with Rosavtodor, we achieved allocation of 2 billion rubles for these works. Bridges are very expensive treat. We will continue working on their construction and reconstruction. In general, Ufa is overloaded with growing passenger traffic. On July 1, on the meeting with Dmitry Medvedev, we discussed the development of transport infrastructure. In general, the Republic complies with the standards for the national project «Safe and quality roads». At the same time, the longest roads in Russia are in Altai and here in Bashkortostan. Taking into account the extensive network of roads from regional centers to small settlements, the volume of construction work must be increased annually.

Here, the Head of the region got acquainted with the promising directions of transport infrastructure development in Ufa - the construction of another bridge across the Belaya River in the alignment of Internatsionalnaya Street, the reconstruction of the intersection of Zaki Validi Street and Salavat Yulaev Avenue.

In general, in 2019 in Bashkortostan, construction and repair process of 25 road bridges is planned. New and reconstructed facilities are located in Baymaksky, Bakalinsky, Belebeevsky, Birskiy, Dyurtyulinsky, Iglinsky, Ilishevsky, Krasnokamsky, Mechetlinsky, Mishkinsky, Tuymazinsky, Ufimsky districts.
