Ufa international marathon will take place in the capital of Bashkortostan

On September 1, «Ufa international marathon» will take place for a fifth time. Five thousand people from 30 countries and 220 cities are expected to participate in it.

The goal of the marathon is the consolidation and development of the international running movement, popularization of healthy living. Five marathon distances are planned: 42.2 km, 21.1 km, 10 km, 5 km and 2 km, and also children’s run and relay race.

Besides, family run «Mother, father, me – sport family», republic business corporate run, special run from the partner «Red Bull», Russia regions run and run for the name of the «Most sportiest Mayor». Currently this sport event is in top-10 of the largest marathons of Russia and in top-100 brands of the Republic of Bashkortostan. 

This year within the marathon, a city fest with variety of activities and a business forum is to be held. Mixfight fights, bodybuilding championship, bike show, street basketball, a show with the strongest man of the republic – Elbrus Nigmatullin and other entertaining events will take place.

Before the marathon a warm-up with Olympic champions will take place. Dmitriy Guberniev will commentate the event. Start and finish of the marathon are in «Dinamo» stadium. Every participant will receive a t-shirt in the starter pack, and a unique medal at the finish.

First Ufa international marathon took place on September 27, 2015. Several thousands of people from Ufa, Ekaterinburg, Kazan’, Orenburg, Chelyabinsk, Saint Petersburg and China, Ukraine, Belorussia, USA participated in it.

In order to ensure the safety of road users during the marathon, the movement of vehicles along the race route will be temporarily limited.
